The Departments of Computer Science & Engineering is established in the year 2005. The Department has well qualified, experienced faculty members. It has well equipped laboratories with all the necessary software to carry laboratory work and project work. 300 Mbps leased line connectivity with Wi-Fi is available for internet usage. The Department of CSE has an intake of 90 for UG, 18 for PG in CSE & Data Analytics. The CSE Department also offers a PhD program through VTU approved Research Center & through ACU also. Many faculty members of the department have registered for PhD. The faculty members and students have published/presented their research papers in several reputed International Journals, International Conferences and National Conferences held at different places. The students have participated in various Hackathons and technical events conducted at various places and won many prizes. Many students of the department have got placed in various organizations like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Empowersys, Justdial, Mindtree, Mphasis, NTT Data, Qspiders, TCS, Tayana Software, Aricent.

    After undergoing this programme, a student will be able to:

  • Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • The engineer and society:Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • Environment and sustainability:Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

  • PSO 1: Ability to apply Mathematical Methodologies, Management Principles and Ethics, Electronics and Embedded Systems and Programming Technologies to solve real time problems.
  • PSO 2: Ability to apply software design and development practices to develop software in emerging areas such as Internet of Things, Data Management, Social Networking and Security, Cloud and High Performance Computing.

    B.E (Regular) :
  • Pass in PUC / 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together, of any Board recognized by the respective State Governments / Central Government / Union Territories or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to.
