The Electronics and Communication Engineering Department was started in the year 2005 along with the establishment of College with an intake of 60. The Department presently have intake of 120 seats for undergraduate program. Department offers post-graduation program M.Tech in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems which was started in 2010 with intake of 18. The undergraduate program and post graduate program are approved by AICTE and presently the Department is affiliated to Adichunchanagiri University. The Department has good experienced and dedicated faculty who strive for academic excellence. The graduates from the department are placed in top ranking companies. The Department has well equipped laboratories with good staff and library facility within the department. The Department will be conducting student motivational programs like workshops, FDP’s, Conferences, Technical talks and Industrial visits by making students actively involved and getting exposed to latest technologies and emerging areas.

Vision of The Department

To develop high quality engineers with technical knowledge, skills and ethics in the area of Electronics and Communication Engineering to meet industrial and societal needs.

Mission of The Department

  • M1: To provide high quality technical education with up-to-date infrastructure and trained human resources to deliver the curriculum effectively in order to impart technical knowledge and skills.
  • M2: To train the students with entrepreneurship qualities, multidisciplinary knowledge and latest skill sets as required for industry, competitive examinations, higher studies and research activities.
  • M3: To mould the students into professionally-ethical and socially, responsible engineers of high character, team spirit and leadership qualities.

  • PEO 1:Engage in industrial, teaching or any technical profession and to pursue higher studies and research.
  • PEO 2:Apply the knowledge of Mathematics, Science as well as Electronics and Communication Engineering to solve social engineering problems.
  • PEO 3:Understand, Analyze, Design and Create novel products and solutions.
  • PEO 4:Display professional and leadership qualities, communication skills, team spirit, multidisciplinary traits and lifelong learning aptitude.
  • Programme Outcomes (POs)

    After undergoing this programme, a student will be able to:

  • PO-1:Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PO-2:Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • PO-3:Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • PO-4:Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • PO-5:Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • PO-6:The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • PO-7:Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  • PO-8:Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

  • To apply the knowledge of Electronics and Communication Engineering as well as automation tools to create electronic circuits, systems and solutions.
  • To collaborate effectively with Electronics and Information Technology industries through internship, induction, technical seminar, technical project, research, product design and development, industrial visit, staff training in order to provide the actual industrial exposure to students and faculties.

  • Eligibility

    B.E (Regular) :
  • Pass in PUC / 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together, of any Board recognized by the respective State Governments / Central Government / Union Territories or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to.
