Technical Talk On Supply Chain system-28/10/2023
Department of Computer Science and Engineering Organized Technical Talk on "Supply Chain System" on October 27, 2023, Mr. Manohar G M, Supply Chain specialist at Dufry, Karle Tech Park, Nagavara, Bengaluru was the resource person. He is an alumni of our institution, Mr. Manohar's address was marked by the fundamental level of Supply Chain Management (SCM), the flow of goods, data, and finances related to a product or service.SCM encompasses everything from the procurement of raw materials to the delivery of the final product at its destination .Along with the Supply Chain Manager's task on controlling and reduce costs and avoid supply shortages.This technical talk generated a top-level model that is defined with five different processes, which is also known as components of Supply Chain Management, i.e Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return.Around 50 students of Fifth Sem CSE department participated in this talk. Dr. Shashikala S V Head of Dept. CS&E and Mr. Santhosh B J, Assistant professor, were the Event Co- Ordinators.
Technical Talk On Mastering Devops for the future of software development- 27/10/2023
Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a technical Talk on "Empowering Engineers: Mastering DevOps for the Future of Software Development"The Resource person was Mr. Gangadhar M L, a Professor in theDepartment of Information Science at Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Tumkur. Mr. Gangadhar M L lecture spoke on the DevOps model relies on effective tooling to help teams rapidly and reliably deploy and innovate for their customers. These tools automate manual tasks, help teams manage complex environments at scale, and keep engineers in control of the high velocity that is enabled by DevOps. The Technical Talk generated lively participation and fruitful discussions among the audience, highlighting the focus on customer experiences, uniting teams for faster product shipments, and simplifying the goals of each release. Introducing automation (which reduces errors and frees up developer time for other projects) and creating a feedback loop that benefits the entire company. Around 60 students from Third Sem CSE department participated in this talk. Dr. Shashikala S V Head of Dept. CS&E and Mr. Manu Y M, Assistant Professor, were the Event Co-Ordinators.
One day FDP on Design thinking for creativity and innovation- 05/06/2023
A Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Design Thinking for Creativity and Innovation was organized from Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with BITES on 5th June 2023, Monday. We had Dr. Jagateesh, Head Learning and Talent Development, Bosch Ltd and Mrs. Aparna Dinesh, Sr. Architect, Bosch Ltd with us as our resource persons. Around 25 faculties from all the departments got Hands On session on Creativity and Thinking. The staffs were divided into groups and were assigned with various tasks to perform and explore more about Creativity and Thinking. Faculties from AIT, Chikmagaluru and RIT, Hassan also participated in the event. Dr. B K Narendra, Dean and Principal was the Chairperson Dr. Shashikala, Professor and Head of CSE department organized this event.

Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized Webinar on “How to Plan for Start-up and Legal & Ethical Steps” on 29th May 2023. Mr. Karthik P N, Programmer, Cassquare, Bengaluru, was the resource person. He elucidated about the Start-up ideas, and Legal and Ethical issues and useful government organizations. This event is intended to build a strong eco-system to encourage new ideas and Startups in the country that will lead to economic growth and generate large scale employment opportunities. Around 60 students from CSE department and faculties were participated in the event.

1 Day Workshop On Mango DB- 15/05/20223
Computer Science & Engineering Department has organized workshop on“MongoDB”on 15th May 2023 at Central Computing Lab. Mr.Yashpal Gupta S, Assistant Professor, Dept Of CSE, DSU, Bengaluru was the resource person. He elucidated about the primitives of MongoDB, and demonstrated with help of simple programs. Around 90 students from CSE department were participated in the event.Mrs. Arpitha K, Assistant professor, and Nandini S R, assistant Professor, Dept of Computer Science & Engineering, were coordinated this event.
Technical Talk On Web Application Development – 02/05/2023
Computer Science & Engineering Department has organised a Technical talk on “Web Application Development” on 2nd May 2023 at CSE Seminar Hall. Mrs. Shashikala M.K, Assistant Professor, Dept Of CSE, Rajeev Institute of technology, Hassan was the resource person. She spoke about different web applications by using HTML, CSS, Java Script, XML and Perl etc. She explained how to create a web pages by using different tags. The outcome of this talk is students can create their own web pages by using various tags. Around 90 students from CSE department were participated in the event. Technical Talk On World Day For Safty And Health At Work :29/04/2023
Computer Science & Engineering Department has organised a talk on World Day for Safety and Health at Work in association with NSS Unit 09 on 29th April 2023 at CSE Seminar Hall. Dr. Madhura M M, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine spoke on 2030 agenda for Sustainability Development goal 3-good Health and Well being and goal 8- Decent work & Economic Growth. She explained Opportunities & Challenges of Digitalization and ICT regarding Health, the pros and cons of 5G Technology and Nanotechnology with respect to health. Around 60 students and Faculty from CSE department were participated in the event.
Talk On Introduction to Cyber Security –27/02/2023
The Depaetmentog Computer Science , Information Science Engineering and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Organized a technical talk on “ Introduction to Cyber Security” in association with TCS, Banglore , Mr.AjayGanapule , Program Manager , TCS BFSI CSP CoE team and Mr.Praveen Academic Relationship manager addressed 3rdsem CSE,ISE and AI&ML students. Cybersecurity is a body of technology, process and practice designed to protect the system from cyber risks. One single security breach can lead to exposing the personal information of millions of people. These breaches have a strong financial impact on the companies and also loss of the trust of customers, hence cyber security is very essential to protect businesses and individuals from spammers and cyber criminals. The program was scheduled between 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, about 200 students participated and cleared the doubts about cyber security importance , certification courses and future job opportunities in cyber security fie.

A technical talk on “Bigdata” was organized by Mr. M J Prasanna kumarAsst.Professor Dept of CSE on 12th January 2023 at 2:00 am to 3:30 pm. Mr.Chandru A S was conducted technical talk for 3rd semester students. He explained how Bigdata is usefull in technical field and explained some real time applications examples. From this talk students learnt basic concepts of Bigdata and how its popular works around at industry levels. Around 55 students from 3rd semester CSE were actively participated in this event.

Department of Computer Science & Engineering conducted technical Talk onFundamentals Of Network Management And Security on 9thJanuary 2023 3rd semester students. Mr. Sharath M.N, Faculty from RIT , Hassan conducted Technical Talk On Fundamentals Of Network Management And Security. Faculties from CS department &3rdsemCSE students were present in the program.From this technical talk students understanding basic concepts of networking, types of network and various network issues and different network security mechanishm etc. this program help in building core knowledge surroundingcomputer systems, security and network security theory processes and practices. Mr. Dhruva M.S, Asst professor, Dept of CSE, were coordinated technical talk for 3rd semester students. Around 120 students are participated actively in this event.
