Dear Students, Colleagues, and Visitors,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Management & Technology.

Since its establishment in 2009, our department has been dedicated to fostering excellence in education and innovation. We offer a rigorous undergraduate program with an intake of 60 students, alongside two specialized postgraduate programs: M.Tech in Structural Engineering (introduced in 2013) and M.Tech in Infrastructure Management (introduced in 2020), each with an intake of 18 students. Our overarching goal is to develop well-rounded professionals equipped to address both current and future challenges in civil engineering.

Our curriculum is continuously revised to align with evolving industry standards, ensuring our graduates are prepared for real-world challenges. In addition to the core curriculum, we offer value-added courses, certification programs, and specialized workshops that enhance both technical and interpersonal skills. These include advanced training in areas such as sustainable construction, modern infrastructure management, and digital tools for civil engineering. We also integrate guest lectures, mentorship programs, and technical seminars led by industry experts, providing our students with invaluable insights and practical knowledge.

To further support our students' professional development, we provide opportunities for certification in cutting-edge technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, and Project Management. These certifications ensure our graduates are equipped with industries recognized skills even before they enter the workforce.

Our department is proud to have a dedicated team of *17 experienced faculty members* and *6 committed non-teaching staff, all working together to create an enriching and stimulating learning environment. We believe that education extends beyond the classroom. To that end, we emphasize **practical learning* through *hands-on projects, internships, site visits, and technical competitions*, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations and develop critical problem-solving skills.

In addition to our academic focus, we actively engage in *consultancy projects* encompassing planning, structural design, material testing, and soil investigation. These projects not only serve the community but also offer our students invaluable exposure to the practical aspects of civil engineering.
