I welcome you all to the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering.

The Bachelor degree program – BE (E&C) was started in the year 2005 with an initial intake of 60 students in the department of electronics and communication engineering of BGS Institute of technology. This intake was enhanced to 120 in the year 2007. The post graduate programme -M.Tech (VLSI & Embedded System) was introduced in the year 2010, with the intake of 18 students. Both the programs were running under Visvesvaraya Technological University, but later during 2018-19 transferred to newly started Adi Chunchanagiri University of BG Nagara, Nagamangala. The department has spacious building with large classrooms, laboratory halls, Staff rooms, library halls.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering Department has set a benchmark with an excellent track record in academics, research. We conduct a wide variety of activities blended with the subject technicality to make the student have complete exposure to Industrial experience. The activities include Hackathons, Coding Contests, Technical Quizzes, Seminars, Paper Presentations, Expert talks from industry etc. Our students are constantly encouraged in cultural and sports activities and have achieved remarkable milestones.
